Copywriter and Editor.
I began my studies at County College of Morris in Randolph, New Jersey, graduating in 2019 with my associate’s degree in liberal arts with a concentration in creative writing and English literature. In the Fall of 2019, I entered Montclair State University (MSU). I graduated with a bachelor’s of arts in English, Magna Cum Laude.
While at MSU, I honed my creative writing and editing skills. Furthermore, I also wrote and edited for “The Montclarion,” the award winning school newspaper.
In addition, I also participated in two internships. Both were social media and marketing oriented. For these, I created copy/social media posts, competitive analyses, and analyzed data to curate content that would garner better engagement on social media.
Using these experiences, I entered the workforce as a social media manager for a flooring company. With analytics and creativity, I gained them hundreds of followers and helped them achieve their goal of 1,000 followers after being stuck at just a few hundred. I also created a binder layout using Adobe InDesign for an upcoming product release and helped distribute and market their podcast.
I then transitioned to the role of editor for “Check Your Fact.” My responsibilities included copy editing stories, utilizing WordPress plugins to optimize metadata for SEO, and working closely with the other editors and writers. While working with the writers assigned to me, I created a database for contacts of political figures that tracked their emails, last contact, and how they tended to respond.
Currently, I work in admin for a dentist’s office. My main function is insurance verification, but my responsibilities continue to grow. I have been assigned multiple trainees and aid in several different departments. While training, I created several guides on how the office operates to create a clearer framework and easier workflow.
In my free time, I enjoy playing Magic the Gathering and trying new coffee shops. The next event I am looking forward to is Comic Con 2026.
